Hello! This is SACHI Dental Clinic.
This time, we will introduce “EMS Airflow,” which is used for tooth cleaning at our clinic.

◆ What is Airflow?
Airflow is a dental cleaning device developed by EMS in Switzerland. It uses a jet of very fine powder particles mixed with water to clean stains attached to the tooth surface. This is one of the cleaning methods we recommend for those concerned about discoloration caused by coffee, tea, smoking, etc.
◆ Features of Tooth Surface Cleaning with Airflow
1. Procedure with Reduced Irritation It is considered less likely to cause pain or discomfort because it involves less ultrasonic vibration, like conventional cleaning instruments, and less direct contact of instruments with the teeth. This method is considerate of those who have previously disliked cleaning due to sensitive teeth.
2. Removal of Discoloration It efficiently removes stains (discoloration) such as tea, coffee, and tobacco stains attached to the tooth surface using the power of powder. It aims to restore the original natural color of the teeth.
3. Cleaning of Hard-to-Reach Areas, such as Inside the Periodontal Pocket It also addresses the removal of bacterial masses (biofilm) that lurk between the teeth and in the periodontal pockets (grooves between the teeth and gums), which are difficult to reach with a toothbrush.
4. Also for Those with Orthodontic Appliances or Implants Cleaning around orthodontic appliances and implants is complex, but Airflow can carefully clean even the smallest areas while minimizing the risk of damaging the instruments.
◆ Recommended for These People
- Those who are concerned about roughness or discoloration on the surface of their teeth
- Those who have easily felt pain or irritation with previous cleanings
- Those who are interested in preventing periodontal disease
- Those who are undergoing orthodontic treatment or require implant maintenance
- Those who want to receive cleaning more comfortably
Airflow is an approach that cleans every corner of the mouth while reducing the burden on the teeth. If you are interested, please feel free to consult our staff.
[About Costs and Treatment Time]
Airflow at our clinic is a non-covered service.
- Cost: 8,800 yen (tax included) per session
